French President Emmanuel Macron has described Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to France as an important milestone in relations between Paris and Riyadh.
Macron said France and Saudi Arabia have consistently worked to promote peace and stability in response to regional challenges and that consultations between the two countries will continue.
He added that cooperation between Paris and Riyadh also focuses on major projects, advanced technologies, investment and international events.
The French president said the two countries have already achieved significant results and have the potential to further expand their cooperation.
Mohammed bin Salman’s visit comes as conflict and military tensions continue across the Middle East, while Saudi Arabia seeks to broaden its political and economic partnerships with regional and international powers.
Riyadh is pursuing closer ties with countries across the region while also strengthening political, economic and security cooperation with major powers, including the United States and European countries.
