Donald Trump, President of the United States, has announced that visits to China and Türkiye are among the foreign trips he plans to undertake in 2026.
Trump made the remarks on Friday during a ceremony unveiling a Boeing 747 aircraft donated by Qatar and added to the U.S. presidential fleet.
Speaking about upcoming diplomatic initiatives, the U.S. president said Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Washington in September.
Trump added that he would later travel to China to participate in what he described as an important international meeting.
He also confirmed that a visit to Türkiye forms part of his diplomatic agenda for 2026, although he did not provide additional details regarding the timing or objectives of the trip.
The comments come as the White House seeks to strengthen engagement with major global powers and key regional actors amid evolving geopolitical challenges.
Relations between Washington and Beijing remain one of the most significant issues in international politics, with both countries managing competition in areas such as trade, technology, security and global influence.
Türkiye, meanwhile, continues to play a strategic role within NATO and serves as an important diplomatic actor in regional security and international mediation efforts.
Neither the White House nor the governments of China and Türkiye have released further information regarding the planned visits.
Details concerning the schedule, agenda and potential bilateral meetings are expected to emerge in the coming months.
