Russia has expressed concern over escalating clashes along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border and called on both sides to avoid further military confrontation.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow is worried about reports of armed clashes involving aircraft and heavy weapons in several border areas.
She added that casualties have been reported on both sides in recent days and civilians have also been affected, including Afghan migrants returning from neighboring countries such as Iran and Pakistan.
Zakharova urged both the Taliban and Pakistan to avoid further escalation and resolve their differences through dialogue and diplomatic channels.
