The US ambassador to Israel has announced that Israel sent an Iron Dome air defense system, along with operational personnel, to the United Arab Emirates.
Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador, said during a meeting in Tel Aviv that the move reflects the “extraordinary” relationship between Israel and the UAE under the framework of the Abraham Accords.
A source familiar with the matter also told Reuters that Israel transferred air defense systems to help the UAE counter attacks by the Islamic Republic during the recent war.
Reuters reported that since the start of the conflict involving the United States and Israel, the UAE has been targeted by Iranian attacks more than any other country.
According to the report, attacks linked to the Islamic Republic have continued even during the current ceasefire period.
At the same time, The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, reported that the United Arab Emirates secretly participated in some operations against the Islamic Republic.
According to the report, the UAE was involved in an April strike targeting Iran’s Lavan Island oil refinery.
UAE officials have not publicly commented on the reports.
Analysts say the deployment of the Iron Dome system to the UAE reflects expanding military and security cooperation between Gulf Arab states and Israel in response to regional threats.
Experts also note that the Abraham Accords are increasingly evolving beyond diplomatic normalization into practical security and defense coordination.
They warn that deeper military cooperation between Israel and Gulf allies could further escalate tensions between the Islamic Republic and pro-Western Arab states, increasing the risk of wider regional confrontation.
