
Local sources in Kapisa province report that Taliban authorities have detained three individuals, including a religious school teacher, in connection with an alleged attempt to target the group’s provincial governor.
According to these sources, the incident occurred on Tuesday in Tagab district, where the governor, Ehsanullah Baryal, was reportedly the target of an attack.
The governor was not harmed in the incident, though at least one person was reported injured.
Baryal, who had traveled to the area to attend a funeral gathering, later released a video message stating that he was unharmed and expressed defiance following the incident.
