Afghan mixed martial arts fighter Wahedullah Nezhand is set to face Argentina’s Laureano Staropoli in the 30th edition of the Fight Nation Championship (FNC) in Croatia next Saturday.
The bout will take place in the 77-kilogram division at the Krešimir Ćosić Hall in the Croatian city of Zadar.
Nezhand enters the fight with a professional record of 10 victories and 2 defeats, while Staropoli brings more experience to the cage with 13 wins and 7 losses.
The matchup is being viewed as another important international opportunity for the Afghan fighter to strengthen his standing in professional MMA competition.
As Afghan athletes continue seeking visibility on international platforms despite limited sporting infrastructure and support, appearances in recognized organizations such as FNC carry significance beyond individual competition.
The upcoming fight could play an important role in shaping Nezhand’s professional trajectory and international recognition within the sport.
