Local sources have reported the discovery of the bodies of two women in District 17 of Kabul.
According to the sources, the bodies were found on Thursday, 24 Sawr, on a mountainside near the “Marshal Fahim Road” area by local residents.
Images published by media outlets show the bodies covered with white cloths, with visible traces of blood.
Sources say the victims were 19 and 35 years old, though their identities have not yet been officially confirmed.
No further details have been released regarding the cause of death, and Taliban authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident.
The discovery comes amid growing reports in recent weeks of mysterious killings, disappearances, and armed robberies across different parts of Kabul.
The rise in criminal incidents in the capital has increased public concern over urban security and the spread of violent crime.
Analysts say the lack of transparency surrounding criminal investigations and the absence of detailed public information can deepen public anxiety and distrust.
Experts also warn that unresolved cases involving women often carry broader psychological and social consequences, particularly in societies already affected by prolonged insecurity and fear.
According to specialists, public confidence in security institutions can weaken further when violent crimes remain unexplained and accountability mechanisms appear unclear or inaccessible.
