Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei says Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir will travel to Tehran on Monday at the head of an official delegation.
According to Baghaei, the visit is aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan and continuing Pakistan’s efforts to support peace and security in the region.
Munir is expected to meet and hold talks with senior Iranian officials during the visit.
Iranian authorities have not yet provided further details about his meeting schedule or the specific issues expected to be discussed.
The visit comes as Tehran and Islamabad continue efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation on regional security issues.
