Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy has announced the restoration of full pumping capacity in the East-West pipeline following recent attacks on energy infrastructure.
According to the statement, the pipeline has returned to its previous transfer level of approximately 7 million barrels per day.
Production at the Manifa oil field, which had been reduced by around 300,000 barrels per day due to the attacks, has also been fully restored.
Earlier reports indicated that the attacks had disrupted approximately 700,000 barrels per day of pipeline capacity, along with additional losses from the Manifa and Khurais fields.
While some of the disruptions have now been addressed, restoration efforts at the Khurais field are still ongoing.
Officials said updates will be provided once full recovery is achieved across all affected facilities.
Angle Analysis:
The rapid recovery underscores Saudi Arabia’s operational resilience, but the scale of initial disruption highlights ongoing vulnerabilities in critical energy infrastructure amid regional tensions.
