حامد کرزی: پاکستان برای تحمیل خط دیورند فشار وارد می‌کند

Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai has claimed that Pakistan is using military and economic pressure in an attempt to gain recognition of the disputed Durand Line.

Writing on X on Saturday, 19 Sawr, Karzai described Pakistan’s actions as a threat to Afghanistan’s national sovereignty.

He stated that the apparent goal of these pressures is to force local populations to turn to Pakistani institutions for resolving security and other issues.

Karzai also referred to reports that agreements described as “peace accords” had recently been signed between tribal elders from both sides of the Durand Line, adding that Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry had officially welcomed and endorsed those arrangements.

The former Afghan president called on responsible authorities to provide clear explanations to the public regarding these developments.

His remarks come after recent military tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan, during which tribal communities from Kunar and Bajaur reportedly held meetings aimed at preventing further clashes.

The Durand Line has long remained one of the most sensitive political and historical disputes between Afghanistan and Pakistan and has repeatedly served as a source of tension between the two countries.

Karzai’s statements reflect broader concerns inside Afghanistan over cross-border influence, sovereignty, and the political implications of local agreements involving tribal communities in disputed border areas.
