US President Donald Trump has once again intensified tensions with the Islamic Republic of Iran after publishing two controversial posts Saturday evening on his social media platform, Truth Social.
The posts appeared amid reports suggesting that the United States and Israel may be preparing for renewed military strikes against Iran.
In one post, Trump shared an image titled “Calm Before the Storm,” showing him standing beside a US military commander aboard a warship in stormy conditions.
Two vessels carrying Iranian flags were also visible in the background of the image.
The US president additionally posted a short animation depicting an American warship ordering the firing of a missile toward a fighter jet carrying the Iranian flag.
The messages were published shortly after The New York Times reported, citing two Middle East officials, that Washington and Tel Aviv were preparing for the possible resumption of attacks against Iran.
In response to the rising threats, Iranian officials warned that any military action would receive a strong response.
A strategic adviser to the speaker of Iran’s parliament also shared a message invoking military mobilization and readiness for confrontation.
Analysts say the simultaneous exchange of symbolic and threatening messages from both Washington and Tehran indicates that psychological warfare and deterrence efforts between the two sides are entering a more sensitive phase.
Observers believe that under current conditions, even media content and symbolic military imagery are becoming part of broader strategies of pressure, signaling, and power projection.
Experts further warn that heightened rhetorical escalation could increase regional instability, especially as diplomatic negotiations remain fragile and military tensions continue in the background.
