Iran has announced that it will not participate in the second round of negotiations in Islamabad, signaling uncertainty in ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said the decision had been communicated to Pakistan, which has been acting as a mediator.
He emphasized that Iran’s positions remain unchanged, stating that Tehran has clearly defined its red lines and does not accept deadlines or ultimatums.
Baghaei added that any decisions would be based on national interests rather than external pressure.
At the same time, he warned that Iran would respond militarily to any “adventurism” by the United States or Israel.
The remarks come amid continued diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, though signs of significant اختلافات between the parties remain evident.
Angle Analysis:
The development reflects a pause rather than a collapse—where firm positions, rejection of pressure, and parallel threats indicate a negotiation process under strain but not fully halted.
