Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it has destroyed a US aircraft during a rescue operation for the crew of an F-15 fighter jet in southern Isfahan.
In a statement, the IRGC referred to the aircraft as an “enemy drone” or “enemy aircraft,” but did not provide details about its type or any possible crew.
At the same time, US President Donald Trump said the rescue operation of the F-15 crew was carried out without casualties.
Trump stressed that “not a single American was killed or injured” during the operation.
No further details have been released about the alleged downing, and the claim has not been independently verified.
