
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has warned that Iran’s missile program poses a direct threat to the alliance’s members.
Speaking at a press conference at NATO headquarters in Brussels, he referred to a recent incident involving Diego Garcia, saying Iran has developed capabilities that are increasingly dangerous for NATO countries.
According to The Wall Street Journal, two ballistic missiles were launched from Iran toward the military base in the Indian Ocean but did not hit their target.
US President Donald Trump also warned about the threat of Iran’s long-range missiles to Europe after sharing reports of the incident.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged European countries to join military efforts against Iran.
