US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States will target Iran’s South Pars gas field if Qatar’s LNG facilities are attacked again.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Israel had previously struck parts of the gas field but caused only limited damage.
He added that the United States had no prior knowledge of the strike and said Qatar was not involved and was unaware of the incident.
Trump claimed Iran responded by targeting Qatar’s LNG infrastructure and warned that any further attack on Qatar would trigger a large-scale US response.
He said Washington would act with or without Israel’s support if such an attack occurs again.
