An account attributed to Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has described the rescue operation of a US F-15 pilot as a “failure.”
The message was posted after reports confirmed the rescue of a second pilot from the aircraft.
The account shared images said to show the wreckage of a C-130 aircraft near Isfahan, stating: “If the United States achieves three more victories like this, it will be completely destroyed.”
The authenticity of the account has not been officially verified.
The remarks come as US officials say the rescue operation was successful and carried out without casualties.
