US Military KC-135 Refueling Aircraft Crashes in Western Iraq

US Central Command says a KC-135 military refueling aircraft has crashed in western Iraq.

CENTCOM said the incident occurred during operations against Iran and that search and rescue efforts are ongoing.

The command said the crash was not caused by enemy fire or friendly fire and confirmed that US operations in the region continue.

Officials said two aircraft were involved in the incident, with one landing safely while the other crashed in western Iraq.

US authorities have not released details about possible casualties, though a US official told the Associated Press that at least five crew members were on board.
