Spain Removes Ambassador to Israel Amid Rising Middle East Tensions

Spain has removed its ambassador to Israel amid rising tensions linked to the war in the Middle East.

Reuters reported that the decision was announced in Spain’s official government bulletin published on Wednesday.

The Spanish government decided to end the mission of Ambassador Ana María Salomón Pérez after discussions in a Council of Ministers meeting on March 10.

Spain’s Foreign Ministry said the embassy in Tel Aviv will be temporarily led by a chargé d’affaires following the decision.
