Afghan bodybuilder Naib Mobarez has been named Asia’s best bodybuilder for 2026, according to the Afghanistan Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.
The federation said Mobarez received the votes of all judges at the Asian bodybuilding and fitness championships in Thailand, earning the continental award.
Mobarez had previously won a silver medal for Afghanistan in the 90-kilogram category at the Asian championships in Thailand. The latest recognition follows that performance and adds another achievement to his record at the event.
The 58th edition of the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships was held in Bangkok, Thailand, with athletes from more than 20 countries, including Afghanistan, participating.
The federation described Mobarez’s recognition as an achievement for Afghanistan. The information released by the federation did not provide further details about the judging criteria or the process used to determine the overall award.
