Local sources have told Nimruz TV that Taliban forces have launched house-to-house searches in the Qasan Valley of Andarab district following a recent rocket attack targeting the group’s checkpoints.
According to one local resident, the searches began on Monday morning and include female Taliban personnel. A second local source independently confirmed that house-to-house inspections are underway in the valley.
The sources said the operation was launched several days after anti-Taliban fighters reportedly fired multiple rockets at Taliban positions in the area.
According to local accounts, several rockets struck a Taliban checkpoint in the village of Kasah Tarash in the Qasan Valley on Saturday night, triggering several hours of fighting between the two sides.
Local sources have not provided information regarding possible casualties or damage resulting from the reported clashes.
