U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that American forces carried out strikes against Iranian missile storage facilities, drone installations and coastal radar sites.
Trump said the operation was conducted in response to what he described as another violation of the ceasefire agreement by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a statement, the U.S. president warned that Washington could take broader military action if similar incidents continue.
“It is very likely they will never learn,” Trump said. “A time may come when we can no longer act reasonably and will be forced to finish militarily what we started so successfully.”
Trump also issued one of his strongest warnings to Tehran, stating: “If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist.”
The remarks come as tensions between Tehran and Washington continue to rise following recent military incidents in the region and growing disagreements over the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
Iranian authorities had not issued an official response to Trump’s latest statements at the time of publication.
The latest developments have raised fresh concerns over regional stability, with observers warning that further escalation could threaten diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving the ceasefire and reducing military confrontation.
