Afghan Woman Builds Livelihood Through Quail Farming in Farah

A woman in Farah province has started a small quail farming business to reduce her financial dependence and support her family.

Najiba Naji says she began the work with limited capital inside her home after job opportunities for women became restricted.

She had previously worked in agriculture but turned to quail farming due to water shortages and drought.

According to her, the business is low-cost and yields quick results, with strong demand for its products, especially among athletes.

She says she learned the methods online and believes women can play a key economic role if given financial and educational support.

Experts also say quail farming can be a practical option for sustainable income, particularly for women.
