A former Afghan diplomat has claimed that discussions are underway in Pakistan about restructuring the current Taliban system, though no official confirmation has been provided.
Mohammad Omar Daudzai, Afghanistan’s former ambassador to Pakistan, said in a social media post that the concept of “repackaging” refers to redefining the structure and governance model of the Taliban administration.
He warned against any externally driven political changes, arguing that past interventions in Afghanistan have not produced stable outcomes.
According to his claims, some circles in Pakistan are questioning the effectiveness of the Taliban’s current structure and may be considering adjustments.
The remarks come amid ongoing tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan, including border security incidents.
No Pakistani officials have publicly responded, and independent verification of the claims remains unavailable.
Analysts suggest that such narratives may reflect broader geopolitical competition and uncertainty about Afghanistan’s political future.
