Taliban authorities have announced the arrest of a group accused of blackmailing civilians using private photos and videos.

Saif Khyber, spokesperson for the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, said on Wednesday that the suspects had been extorting money from individuals by threatening to expose personal content.
