At least nine people have been killed and nine others injured after the collapse of several houses in Nangarhar and Maidan Wardak provinces.
According to reports from local Taliban-affiliated media, the incidents occurred on Monday.
Officials in Nangarhar said six people died after the roofs of three houses collapsed in Pachiragam, Khogyani and Spin Ghar districts.
In Maidan Wardak, a woman and two children were killed when the roof of a house collapsed in Jaghatu district following heavy rainfall.
Reports indicate that seven of the injured are in Nangarhar and two in Maidan Wardak.
The incidents come amid recent flooding across several provinces, which has caused significant damage to infrastructure, farmland and residential areas.
