Mohsen Rezaei, a senior Iranian official and military adviser, has criticized US President Donald Trump over recent remarks regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X on Sunday, Rezaei said Trump’s rhetoric had escalated, accusing him of using offensive language against the Iranian people.
He added that continued threats, driven by what he described as frustration and anger, would only deepen the conflict and draw the United States further into what he called a “self-created war.”
Rezaei also said Trump would eventually realize that the global stage is not for unilateral action.
Trump had earlier posted on Truth Social demanding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and warning of consequences if it remained closed.
He also reiterated a deadline for potential strikes on Iran, saying: “Tuesday in Iran will be power plant day and bridge day, all in one day.”
