US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington will target Iran’s critical infrastructure if no agreement is reached.
In a post on Truth Social, he said that if the Strait of Hormuz is not quickly reopened for trade, the US would “completely destroy” Iran’s power plants, oil wells, Kharg Island and even desalination facilities.
Trump said the actions would be in response to what he described as the killing of American soldiers and others by Iran over past decades.
The remarks come as tensions between Iran and the United States continue to escalate amid the ongoing conflict.
