Reports: US, Israel Grant Temporary Immunity to Iranian Officials in Talks

گزارش‌ها از اعطای «مصونیت موقت» به دو مقام ایرانی در مذاکرات؛ بدون تأیید رسمی

Israeli media report that the United States and Israel have granted temporary immunity to two senior Iranian officials as part of ongoing talks with Tehran.

According to Channel 12, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf are covered by the measure, which is said to last at least five days.

The report has not been officially confirmed by US, Israeli or Iranian authorities.

Meanwhile, Axios reports that US Vice President JD Vance could take part in talks with Iran, a proposal reportedly put forward by Steve Witkoff.

The report also says a ground operation against Iran remains an option, though President Donald Trump has not made a final decision and remains cautiously optimistic about diplomacy.

Sources say a possible meeting in Pakistan has been discussed but not finalized.

The report adds that Iran has expressed doubts about US intentions, while the White House insists Trump is serious about negotiations.
