Afghan political representatives, civil society activists and independent figures met members of the UK Parliament on the second day of the “Towards Unity and Trust” conference in London.
Participants stressed the need for international support for the Afghan people and the launch of an inclusive political process.
According to organizers, discussions covered issues including visa extensions for Afghan students, rising poverty, the humanitarian crisis and the need for a suitable political environment.
The UK has previously called on the Taliban to form an inclusive government and respect women’s rights.
Participants also emphasized constructive engagement with the international community, ensuring women’s right to education and broader public participation in political affairs.
The two-day conference aims to strengthen coordination among Taliban مخالف groups and develop a shared framework to address Afghanistan’s crisis.
