UNICEF Afghanistan says one in three people in the country lacks access to safe and sufficient drinking water.
In a post on X, the agency said it provided water access to more than 2.1 million people in Afghanistan over the past year.
UNICEF stressed that more efforts are needed to ensure all children have access to safe water.
Earlier, the UN humanitarian office (OCHA) said more than 21 million people in Afghanistan lack access to clean water.
