Sources in Kabul say Taliban forces have blocked Shia Muslims from holding Eid al-Fitr prayers in parts of the city.
According to witnesses, Taliban members were deployed at entrances to several mosques, including in western Kabul, preventing worshippers from entering.
One witness said Shia worshippers were not allowed inside mosques, while another reported similar restrictions in Dasht-e-Barchi.
The reports come as many Shia communities marked Eid on Saturday, differing from the Taliban’s earlier announcement of Thursday.
Taliban authorities have not yet commented on the claims.
