Iran’s state broadcaster says the country carried out a drone strike targeting fuel storage tanks of Bapco Energies in Bahrain.
Bahraini state media reported that Bapco Energies declared force majeure following the attack, allowing the company to suspend certain oil supply obligations during the emergency.
Reuters reported that smoke was seen rising around the Bapco Energies refinery facilities.
Iranian state media also said a fire broke out in the company’s fuel storage tanks after the strike.
