Residents of Kabul say rising food prices in local markets have sharply reduced the purchasing power of families, leaving many people struggling to meet even their most basic daily needs.
According to several residents, the prices of essential food items and household goods have increased significantly in recent weeks and months, placing additional economic pressure on already vulnerable families.
Many citizens say widespread unemployment and the absence of stable income sources have made it increasingly difficult for households to afford basic necessities.
Residents also report that the costs of food, rent, and other daily expenses continue to rise while employment opportunities and personal incomes continue to decline.
Some Kabul residents criticized the lack of effective measures to control inflation or improve the country’s worsening economic situation.
Afghanistan has faced a prolonged economic crisis in recent years, marked by rising poverty, declining investment, and shrinking job opportunities.
International organizations have repeatedly warned that continued economic instability and unemployment could further worsen the humanitarian situation across the country.
