Iran Says Positions Conveyed via Intermediaries as Talks and Threats Intensify

همزمان با تهدیدها، ایران از انتقال پیام‌ها از طریق واسطه‌ها خبر داد

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei says Tehran has already conveyed its positions through intermediaries amid rising tensions and ongoing diplomatic efforts.

Speaking at a press conference, Baghaei said a reported 15-point US proposal was “excessive, unreasonable and unacceptable.”

He added that Iran has prepared its responses and will announce them when appropriate, noting that communication through intermediaries has been ongoing.

Baghaei also criticized US threats, saying repeated warnings of attacks on infrastructure while allowing strikes on civilian targets would amount to “war crimes.”

US President Donald Trump has given Iran until Tuesday to reach an agreement and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, warning that otherwise key infrastructure, including power plants, could be targeted.

Meanwhile, Reuters reported, citing a source, that Iran and the United States have received a proposal to end hostilities. The source said Pakistan drafted the plan and discussed it overnight with both sides.

According to the report, the proposal includes a two-phase approach involving an immediate ceasefire followed by a comprehensive agreement.

Axios also reported that the United States, Iran and regional mediators are discussing a potential 45-day ceasefire as part of a broader two-stage deal aimed at ending the conflict.
