Taliban authorities say at least 28 people have been killed and around 50 others injured after heavy rainfall and flash floods across Afghanistan.
The Taliban’s disaster management authority said nearly 500 homes have been destroyed or damaged, while about 93 kilometers of roads have been washed away.
According to the report, transportation routes have been blocked in several areas, with residents in at least 25 provinces affected by severe rains and sudden floods.
Images shared on social media show widespread destruction in multiple regions.
Authorities have urged citizens to avoid flood-prone areas and riverbanks.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Energy and Water has also warned of rising river levels and the احتمال of continued flooding in the coming days.
