India’s Foreign Ministry has condemned Pakistan’s strike on the Omid drug treatment hospital in Kabul, calling the attack “cowardly.”
In a statement released on Monday, the ministry said Pakistan was attempting to portray what it described as a “mass killing” as a military operation.
New Delhi urged the international community to hold those responsible accountable and ensure that civilians in Afghanistan are not targeted.
The statement also said carrying out the attack during the holy month of Ramadan makes the incident even more shameful.
India added that it stands with the Afghan people and supports Afghanistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
