Bahraini officials told CNN that the country’s water supply has not been disrupted following an Iranian strike on a desalination facility.
Officials said the attack took place on Sunday and damaged part of the facility, but water supply to residents continues normally.
Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority said the strike had no impact on water supply or the capacity of the national water network.
Desalination plants are critical infrastructure in Gulf countries, providing between 60 and 90 percent of drinking water through seawater desalination.
