The Human Rights Activists Union has called on the international community to stop financial support to the Taliban and treat the situation of women in Afghanistan as an urgent moral and humanitarian crisis.
In a statement marking International Women’s Day, the group said Afghan women are facing one of the darkest periods in their history under Taliban rule.
The statement said widespread restrictions on education, employment, and public participation have created a systematic effort to remove women from social life.
The organization urged the international community to take concrete action and prioritize the protection of women’s rights in Afghanistan.
